Angelina Trost

Angelina Trost completed her education at the Gnesin Musical and Pedagogical Academy specializing in vocal performance (with professor N. P. Frankovskoi). In her third year of study she became a soloist in the Moscow Philharmonic where she continued to work for 25 years. She performed with such distinguished conductors as Anosov, K. Kondrashin, E. Svetlanov, A. Kremer, and S. Turchak. Angelina Trost was the first to sing the part of Suok in V. Rubin's opera "The Three Fat Men." A. Trost also worked extensively with her friend, the composer M. Tariverdiev. Angelina Trost achieved great success as a soloist performing in the former USSR and Western Europe. Before she moved to the U.S., Angelina Trost was in charge of the Opera Studio in Moscow, whence emerged many vocalists who have become internationally renowned. Angelina Trost currently resides in Seattle where she continues to pursue her pedagogical vocation.
